Mike Stern on Hamburger Menus
Mike is an Apple User Experience Evangelist that talked (here is the transcript of the talk) about the hamburger menu design pattern. I share the same opinion about that and I've try to discourage designers to use it.
I will add, as a disadvantage, the gesture confusion between open menu and the back button. It's a mess.
The bad part of the post that I link is that the title implies that this is oficial from Apple, but it's just the opinion of that person as he already says on the video.
